There are several ways to select data points. You can only select data points from the current data set. Selected data points will show in another color than unselected data points (you can change the colors from the Options menu). The last inserted point will automatically be selected.
You can select data points directly from the data point list in the top of the document window. You can select multiple points by holding down Ctrl when you select new points. You can select a range of points by selecting the first one, then hold Shift while you select the last one.
You can select data points using the left mouse in the image. Click on a data point marker to select it. Hold Shift and draw a rectangle around a range of data point markers to select more than one. Hold Ctrl to extend your selection.
You can select data points more easily using the right mouse in the image. Click near a data point marker with the right mouse button to select it. Draw a rectangle around a range of data point markers using the right mouse button to select more than one. Hold Press Ctrl+A to select all symbols in the current data set, or choose Select All from the Edit menu. To invert the current selection, choose Invert selection from the Edit menu, or press Ctrl+I.
